CHATTANOOGA, TN WANTS PROFESSIONAL GEEKS SO BAD They Will Give Them $10,000 to Buy A House Plus Moving Expenses…Honey, Pack Our Bags

Chattanooga, TN loves technology so much they want Professional Geeks to move to their town, buy a house in one of their revitalized neighborhoods (that they will give $10,000 to help you buy) and enjoy their 1 gigabit-per-second community-wide internet service all so you will put your big smart brain to work making Chattanooga technologically awesome.

Seriously.

The program, Geek Move, hopes to get at least ten people to take advantage of this opportunity and help put Chattanooga on the “Super Geek Town” map.

Here’s their pitch:

Since Chattanooga introduced America’s first completed Gig fiber network offering every home and business internet service up to 200 times faster than the national average, the city has rapidly emerged as a haven for talented technology professionals and businesses,” said J.Ed. Marston, vice president of communications at the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. “The Geek Move program is part of our city’s long-term commitment to grow our talent pool and to help skilled developers and programmers fulfill their dream of homeownership.

I wonder if they would be interested in a Pop Culture blogger married to a Professor who specializes in video games?
