This episode starts with a phone call between Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) and his estranged
ex-wife Winona (Natalie Zea), who is pregnant with their child, a little girl, as it
Poor Raylan doesn’t know anything about raising a girl, of
course, and one can only imagine the terrors he’ll suffer when his daughter
becomes a teenager.
Raylan arrives at the Marshall’s office in time for
some applause. He did after all bring in Sheriff Shelby/Drew Thompson (Jim Beaver).
Drew has decided that his deal needs to include the safety and
protection of ex-prostitute Ellen May (Abby Miller). Ellen May was targeted by Boyd
Crowder (Walton Goggins) and Ava (Joelle Carter) after she witnessed Ava kill a man.
Drew Thompson, while
still acting as the Sheriff of Harlan County, rescued Ellen May before
she was killed and hid her.
Limehouse ((Mykelti Williamson), initially thinks about selling Ellen May to Boyd
and Ava, but has an attack of conscience and lets her go. Ellen May has
become a very wanted woman. Nickie Augustine (Mike O’Malley), working for mobster Theo
Tonin (Adam Arkin), has learned that Drew Thompson wants Ellen may protected, so now
he wants Ellen May.
The stage is set for Boyd and Ava, Nickey Augustine and Raylan to
all go searching for Ellen May throughout Harlan County. Raylan brings
along fellow Marshalls Tim (Jacob Pitts) and Rachel (Erica Tazel), which turns out to be a very good
thing, because when Tim finally catches up to Ellen May at Ellen May’s
old church, Colt (Ron Eldard) is there, ready to shoot it out.
Colt and Tim have a long checkered history. Tim knows that Colt
killed his friend. Colt knows that hecan for Tim to shoot him. It
doesn’t end well for Colt, who is taken out this episode.
delivers Ellen May to Drew Thompson and ensures her safety. Now Theo
Tonin is going to go down as a direct result of Raylan Givens. Also,
when Ellen May spills the beans about the murder she witnessed, Ava will
go down as well, leaving Boyd Crowder with no one.
Desperate men do desperate things. The episode ends with Winona
receiving a new chair, one that will make her comfortable while
pregnant. She thinks its a gift from Raylan.
It’s not. The chair is
installed by Picker (John Kapelos) a hitman for the Detroit Mob.
I really hope that Theo Tonin is smart enough not to hurt Raylan’s
family, because if he does nothing is going to stop Raylan from killing
