Now CONSTANTINE Heads To NBC

Yet another example of DC Entertainment shooting themselves in the foot, Deadline reports that NBC is currently developing Constantine with The Mentalist writer/executive producer Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer.

Based on the character John Constantine created by Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and Jamie Delano, the character was recently mentioned as being a part of the developing Justice League Dark film, Heaven Sent, from director Guillermo del Toro.

In 2005, Keanu Reeves played the character in Constantine, directed by Francis Lawrence.

The character, a chain-smoking working-class magician, occult detective, and con man based in London recently had his long running series Hellblazer cancelled and rebooted as part of DC’s New 52 publishing initiative last year.
