FIGHT CLUB Minus Tyler Durden

The first time I read Chuck Palahniuk’s debut novel Fight Club I almost gave up writing altogether, It was so completely amazing that it literally sucked all the creativity out of me and I didn’t put pen to paper (metaphorically, I mean I use a computer) for almost a year. Yeah, that book had that much power over me. And when the movie came out, well, damn, how could anything get better than that?

Well, here’s how it could.

Vimeo user, Richard Trammell, has just created the perfect way to capture our unnamed protagonist’s severe mental collapse by removing Mr. Tyler Durden from a scene in the movie, giving all of us a chance to see what it would have been like to see what everyone else saw in the Fight Club universe.

Pretty great work…let’s hope that Mr. Trammell could expand his work and do the whole movie like this.

Video after the break.
