KURT COBAIN On The Importance of Identity

In an interview with John Savage from July 1993, Kurt Cobain waxed philosophically about the role that identity plays in a person’s life and how the search for one’s self should be the ultimate goal while we populate this mortal coil. From questioning his sexuality and his feelings of alienation, to his visceral connection to punk rock and his anger with misogyny in popular music, Cobain truly lays his heart and soul out for all to see.

It’s funny how even after all these years after his death, Cobain can still make you feel like the world is actually worth saving.

Check out another brilliantly animated interview from PBS Digital’s Blank on Blank after the break.
