THROWBACK THURSDAY: Watch Nic Cage’s Acting Debut In The 1981 TV Pilot ‘Best of Times’

I don’t know what is more shocking about this horrible Fame-like TV pilot, Best of Times, the fact that it was the acting debut for Nic Cage, Crispin Glover (Back to the Future) and Jill Schoelen (The Stepfather) or that Nic Cage was just as weird and crazy back when he had jacked-up teeth and went by his surname Coppola.

All that I do know is that I’m glad that the internet saw fit to provide me with tangible proof that the 1981 TV season was just as craptastic as the 2014 one.

So watch a very young Nic Cage work out, dance in a supermarket with Jewish comedian Jackie Mason and give a long-winded speech about war, wishing that if there is a war it is somewhere nice like the French Riviera and, if he does get drafted, how easy it’ll be to score with chicks.

Horrific awesomeness after the break.
