I have something that I’ve been wanting to admit to for a long time and since we are friends I feel comfortable telling you (just keep it on the D. L)…I like action films. I know, I know, I write for a pop culture website and I’m a girl and yes, I should be a total movie snob who only watches the offerings from the Criterion Collection, but in reality…I’ve watched the movie Dredd like eight times…four of those back-to-back…because I like how everything gets blown-up and bloody.
I’ve also watched way too many Jackie Chan films, like an uncomfortable amount…some even dubbed into Vietnamese…and I don’t even speak that language…all because I like seeing people kicked forcefully in the head.
I feel so alone.
Anyway, the guys from CineFix have compiled the top 10 movie stunts of all time and I have to agree with their picks (they even include Police Story which sort of vindicates my weird love affair with Jackie Chan as well as the original The Fast and The Furious– which, I’m happy to say, is the Editor-in-Chief’s favorite film franchise).
If you would like to see the best film sequences of people falling from buildings, car chases or stuff getting blown up then watch the video after the break, if you don’t, well, fuck you.
