On August 9, 1969 a twenty-two year old Patricia Krenwinkle participated in the murders of Sharon Tate, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring, and Steven Parent at the behest of Charles Manson. She was also responsible for the torture and murder of Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary the following night.
45 years later, Krenwinkle speaks to the New York Times about her role in the brutal murders and looks back at the woman she used to be when she was dazzled by Charles Manson.
Its a fascinating look at the power of brain-washing and how someone can be manipulated into doing something so reprehensible.
