He Took His Skin Off For Me – A Short Film By Ben Aston

By Elizabeth Weitz

Film adaptations of books or short stories often fall short of achieving the power of their source material simply because very few things can compete with the movie-version you construct in your mind while reading it, but in the case of Ben Aston’s incredibly beautiful film of Maria Hummer‘s story, He Took His Skin Off For Me, we have the rarity of witnessing the product outshining the muse.
