Stream On: New To Netflix For June 2018

June hits full bloom for the streaming service giant as oodles of new movies and new season of Netflix favorites return for the summer season.

After the shock of a surprise cancellation a few months ago, fans of Sense8 will finally get their long goodbye with a full-length feature finale. Airing on June 8, the two-hour event will give the show the chance to wrap up it’s many, many, many story threads while giving auds a chance to say goodbye (or “adios,” “annyeong,” “bless” or “alavida”) to their favorite characters.

Hit laffer GLOW returns to the ring on June 29 for a new round goodness filled with spandex, hairspray and glitter.

On June 1, Netflix original movie November 13: Attack on Paris debuts on the service. The docu takes a heartfelt look at the witnesses, survivors and heroes of the 2015 Paris attacks.

Netflix’s take on the bulletproof Power Man returns for a second season as Marvel’s Luke Cage gears up for a new adventure on June 22.

Aside for original movies and series, Netflix also welcomes a slew of Disney titles from all branches of the Mouse House. From a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars: The Last Jedi lands on the streaming service on June 26. And from a nearby galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok is available for streaming on June 5. For fans of classic Disney, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians (June  1) and Disney’s Tarzan (June 23) will be added to the streaming service as well. And from the small screen, the fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be up for grabs on June 17.

This month, Netflix also adds a few critical favorites and former award season darlings to their catalog. Titles include Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine, Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges, Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech and Christopher Nolan’s The Prince & Me 4: The Elephant Adventure.
