The Absolute Best Movie-Themed Slots

July 16, 2018 by FOG! Command

Since they were invented, the popularity of slots or fruit machines has constantly been on the rise, sparking a variety of movie-themed slots that are pure fun to play. Slots are among the most popular games at both land and online casinos and there’s a good reason for it. They are addictive and attractive, and the promise of hitting a major jackpot keeps players very much entertained.

If you haven’t tried a slot, you know nothing about thrill. There are literally millions of slots you can try online. Simply googling ‘online slots’ will help you find the perfect slot for you, and you can pick from a variety of themes including sports, TV shows, and blockbuster movies.

There are only a few movies that haven’t been turned into a slot, but not all of them are good. The ones you can see on the list below, however, are quite popular among slot players and will definitely keep you interested, no matter if you’re playing for fun or real money.

Terminator 2

When it hit the big screen in 1991, Terminator 2 was every sci-fi fan’s dream. It had Arnold Schwarzenegger in probably the best role of his career and featured great action scenes and memorable lines (‘I’ll be back’) that will forever stay engraved in the minds of Terminator fans.

Thanks to the huge base of fans, it was only a matter of time before the movie turned into a video slot. The slot was developed by industry giants Microgaming and features 5 reels and 243 paylines which promise a lot of excitement as soon as you hit the spin button. Of course, the slot stays true to the theme of the movie, including video clips from it and everyone’s favourite villain – T-1000. If you loved the movie (and who didn’t, really?), you’re going to love this slot as well.

Man of Steel

Superman is one of the greatest American cultural icons. You can find the Man of Steel on shirts, lunch boxes, and many different products which shows how popular the DC character is. Of course, the gambling industry didn’t miss the chance to develop a Superman-themed slot, this time inspired by the 2013 hit movie Man of Steel.

Although critics and fans were divided on the movie, the slot didn’t suffer from the same problems. The 5-reeled slot with 50 paylines was developed by Playtech and features great graphics and gameplay. There’s Cavill’s Superman, Michael Shannon’s Zod, and other characters including Superman’s adoptive parents which make the slot pretty exciting. There are also special features reserved for those playing with real money that give you a nice chance of winning big.

Jurassic Park

Who could forget Steven Spielberg’s major dinosaur hit? Jurassic Park is one of the most successful Hollywood franchises, although not all the movies were as good as the one that started it all.

The Jurassic Park slot, however, is great. Based on the original movie, the slot features 5 reels and 243 ways to win which has become a trademark of Microgaming. There’s a free spins feature and popular imagery from the movie which will satisfy every fan of the franchise.

Honourable Mentions

If we made a full list of the best movie-themed slots, we’d be looking at 20 or more, which can be confusing. Besides the aforementioned 3 slots, we’re only going to mention a few worth playing as well.

From the ones we’ve tried, we can mention the popular NetEnt Planet of the Apes slot as well as the famous Gladiator slot, which still has a huge fanbase even though it’s fairly old. If you’d like to try something that’s a bit more fun, try Blueprint Gaming’s Ted slot, based on everyone’s favourite teddy bear.
