This comic book should really be called “Wonder Woman 100-Page Giant” as the story features Wonder Woman getting lost in the Bermuda Triangle.
The Justice League has back up stories sure, but the new main feature is Wonder Woman.
The Justice League doesn’t show up or even help her. But the story is so weak that maybe she just decided to take her name off of it.
So basically, Wonder Woman and Etta travel to the Bermuda Triangle to investigate some happenings.
The first part of this storyline (this is part two) was all set up so off they go! And of course, their plane is attacked by a big weird cloud.
They have to jump out of the plane. And then they land on an island.
It’s about as dull as you can imagine.
From there, the pair are assaulted by a prehistoric like creature. It’s just dumb looking and I hardly believed Wonder Woman was in peril at all. It all ends on a flat note where I didn’t care if I read the next issue or not. I was hoping to enjoy this but it gave me nothing.
There’s no pep in the story. Connor and Palmiotti don’t put any beats into the writing so it’s a real bore. The art by Hardin is the bright spot. The book at least looked great. But there was nothing to grab onto and that made reading it a real trudge indeed.
