Scream On: New To Netflix in October!

Put away the sunscreen, pack away the bikini and get ready to bunker down with Netflix this fall.

The streaming service readied itself for Halloween with a handful of new original series like The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and scary holiday favorites like The Shining. You can read the full rundown here. But for those of you who are more about pumpkin spice flare than holiday scares, Netflix has something for you too.

This month, the streaming service offers heaping handfuls of brand-new comedies and stand-ups from big names. Joe Rogan: Strange Times debuted on October 2 along with retro laughs from Monty Python. On October 23, Adam Sandler returns to the spotlight with his special, Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh. Also on the Netflix stage is Ron White with his special, If You Quit Listening, I’ll Shut Up. Kevin Hart has also been added to the streaming service schedule with a few of his stand-up shows. The cherry on top is a a few assorted classics such as Blazing Saddles and Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.

Also this month, Netflix digs deep into animation with a ton of toon offerings. Original animated series include the return of Boss Baby and Big Mouth, while your itty bitty ones can zone out on the Mouse House series Disney’s Sofia the First and Goldie & Bear. And for more adult animated fare, check out Violet Evergarden on October 4 and The Seven Deadly Sins on October 15.

For fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Dancing Queen follows the true life drama of Alyssa Edwards, one of the competition’s fiercest queens, as she runs her Texas dance studio.

Also this month, the series that made me want to murder, Making a Murderer, returns for a little justice. Hopefully.

So, while there are plenty of scares this month, Netflix also packs in a mix of movies to fit any palette, not just those with Trick or Treating on the brain.

Trick or Treat! Stream or Scream!
