This has been a great book since Cecil Castellucci took over as the writer! I have been enjoying everything that she has come up with thus far. This has been nothing but a fun time. It is full of action and it also has some decent drama as well. You can’t help but like it!
A big Bat Signal made out of fire appears in the middle of Gotham City. What is the meaning of this?
Barbara Gordon is out to figure out that exact question. She know that it has to do with Lex Luthor and his offer.
But what does it mean in bigger terms?
While she is out there trying to figure things out, the new Oracle is out in full force in the city walking around.
There is some big time destruction happening. Things are really getting crazy in this title!
And I am loving every second of it.
Batgirl goes and helps some of the civilians. She tries to get things in the city in order. For a lot of the issue, Batgirl and the new Oracle are circling around each other in the city. It gets even more and more tense and finally, the two of them come head to head.
It is an exciting moment when the two of them meet. The cliffhanger here also leaves us on a genuinely exciting moment. Things are looking hopeless! Can Barbara save the city and herself? It is a dark moment that this issue ends itself on.
You can’t really ask for a better creative team than this. The story is pretty great and the artwork is positively stunning. I love what they are doing here and it is only getting more and more cool. I cannot wait for the next issue and this one had me at the edge of my seat from start to finish.
