This is a pretty neat little series. It isn’t going to change the world or anything, but it a nicely done fun read.
Humphries has created a likable main character with Miguel in this comic. He has also given us some other characters to care about. It makes the action all the more exciting and it makes the whole experience even more exciting to read.
In the opening scene, Miguel has made it to Metropolis. He is with Summer and they are both looking for Superman. He is not around but they go looking anyway for some help. That is when things go just a little bit crazy.

There are a wonderful couple of pages in the book that is a tribute to Chris Ware. I loved those pages and it was very sweet. There are some other tributes in the book(most notably of Kevin Eastman) and it is very fun for the most part.
The two eventually hear tell of something called “The Thunderbolt Club.” What is this mysterious club? What is their purpose?
Miguel and Summer happen to find out and it is not at all what they were expecting. This leads to a whole bunch more fun and some interesting twists.
We then get to meet some other heroes from the Dial. They are all weird and wild and a little bit strange. By the end of the issue, it looks like we might be seeing a peek of the bigger Multiverse. It looks like it is going to be a blast.
This is a nice little limited series. It does get a little too “quirky” at times but I am okay with that for the most part. It is written decently and the art is always pretty well done. I am really enjoying it, even if it is a little slight.
