‘Supergirl #38’ (review)

Written by Jody Houser
Art by Rachael Stott
and Inaki Miranda

Published by DC Comics

This has been a really great comic book ever since Jody Houser and Rachael Stott took over last issue.

Things have gotten absolutely insane! Luckily, I love when a book is absolutely insane.

Houser and Stott have really done a great job of amping up the excitement in this book and keeping things rolling throughout.

The opening scene has Krypto flying in the air.

Where is he going?

Why, he is off to find Supergirl, of course!

The problem is that Supergirl has been infected by the madness that the Batman Who Laughs has been spreading throughout the entire DC universe.

Krypto finds her. She is a bit mean to him at first.

Then, Supergirl tells Krypto what her evil plan is. It iis completely insane. Can this Supergirl be stopped?

We then get to see Batman and Superman discussing what they should do to stop her. They might be too late, because right after that, Supergirl strikes. While she is in the middle of her attack, an unexpected hero shows up: Wonder Woman!

There is a fight between Supergirl and Wonder Woman that is fairly cool. It all leads to a nice cliffhanger. It does feel a little short however. The story is decent and the art is good but there isn’t enough of it. It goes by a bit fast and that is a shame.

RATING: B
