‘The Flash #85’ (review)

Written by Joshua Williamson
Art by Christian Duce
Published by DC Comics

For the crossover “Year Of The Villain,” this is the best book to be involved. Writer Joshua Williamson just took the baton and just ran with it.  This has been an exciting and completely messed up storyline. It is also fantastically entertaining and exciting as well.

Central City has gone to hell.

Barry has gathered a team of heroes to fight back against those damnable rogues.

But will they be enough?

Or is this it for the Flash or even the world?

The book starts off with the Flash’s group of heroes in some serious trouble.

They are in a fight with a bunch of their enemies. The environment outside is a winter like apocalypse.

Can the heroes survive the attack and the awful winter terrain?

Or are are they all dead in the snow?

Barry gets his group out of danger.

They regroup for a little bit. Then they find their way to Captain Cold’s domicile. There is a  confrontation. Then, there is a little bit of back story. Finally, Barry comes right up against Captain Cold. The two of them facing off is where the issue ends. The last page is absolutely beautiful.

Actually, all of the artwork here is beautiful.  Christian Duce does a first rate job yet again. The artwork is excellent on each and every page. This is another strong book in an excellent run. I cant wait to see where we go next.

RATING: A
