This book turned out to be much better than I originally thought it would be. It started with a pretty weak first two issues but it certainly turned itself around.
I loved this last issue and it is starting to look like this comic will have some kind of bigger impact in the DC Universe in the upcoming months.
Wally is hanging out with his kids on some planet at the beginning of the issue.
They are excited to be reunited after all this time. Things are happy! And that is when the Mobius Chair shows up out of nowhere and basically causes a bunch of trouble.
And here we go.
The Fuginaut shows up and stirs the pot. He and Wally have a discussion about why Wally should sit in the Mobius Chair. Wally realizes that his existence is a problem for the entire Multiverse.
Then, quicker than you can say Parallax, Wally sits in the chair. And that is when things get a completely berserk.
Suffice to say, Wally gets imbued with the power of Doctor Manhattan from Watchmen.
While this is a bit nuts, it actually could turn into some interesting stories ahead. It could go bad as well, but we shall see.
Lobdell writes a very solid last issue here. He does a great job of wrapping up all of the loose ends. The art is pretty perfect for this series as well.
The events here could make things very exciting in the DC Universe in coming months. We shall see.
