‘Indiana Jones 5’ is Not A Reboot

 
Producer Kathleen Kennedy spoke about the details of upcoming ‘Indiana Jones 5’ movie confirming it will be a continuation of the story.

“We’re working away, getting the script where we want it to be and then we’ll be ready to go. Harrison Ford will be involved… It’s not a reboot. It’s a continuation.” Kennedy added that Ford, “can’t wait” to get started on the movie.

 

The CW Reboots Lost Boys

 
The CW has officially given a new pilot order to Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas’ long-in-development series adaptation of The Lost Boys, based on director Joel Schumacher‘s 1987 horror-comedy of the same name. The new pilot will feature a whole new cast and will be directed by Marcos Siega, who is known for directing episodes of many TV series such as The Vampire Diaries, The Following, Blindspot, You, and Batwoman.

 

Sony Will Reportedly Not Attend Cinemacon

 
Sony Pictures will reportedly not be holding an onstage presentation at this year’s CinemaCon but will this year’s conference in other ways.

Sony movies releasing after CinemaCon include Peter Rabbit 2: Runaway (April 3), the Tom Hanks feature Greyhound (May 8), Ghostbusters: Afterlife (July 10), Marvel’s Morbius (summer), Escape Room 2 (August 14), Milla Jovovich’s Capcom video game feature adaptation Monster Hunter and The Happiest Season, a modern holiday romantic comedy starring Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis among other titles.

 

More Adam Sandler Movies Are Coming to Netflix

 
Netflix has extended its deal with Adam Sandler and Happy Madison Productions to make four additional movies following the success of Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s Murder Mystery comedy.

Sandler is set to star in the family film Hubie Halloween alongside Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Maya Rudolph, Rob Schneider, Kenan Thompson, Steve Buscemi, Michael Chiklis, Tim Meadows, Noah Schnapp, Paris Berelc, China Anne McClain, and Shaquille O’Neal.

The movie follows Hubie Dubois who, despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, MA (and its legendary Halloween celebration), is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it’s up to Hubie to save Halloween.

Adding to his slate, Sandler has an untitled animated feature film coming up that he is set to star in, write, and produce.

 

Henry Czerny Returns to Mission: Impossible

 
The Mission: Impossible franchise writer/director, Christopher McQuarrie has announced original star, Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) will return as former IMF director Eugene Kittridge for the next two Mission: Impossible installments.

 

Marvel Teases Upcoming MCU TV Series

 
Marvel Studios used its big Super Bowl advertising spot to three upcoming Disney+ series: Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, and WandaVision.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw Anthony Mackie’s Sam “Falcon” Wilson pick up geting adjusted with Steve Roger’s Captain America shield. The teaser also showed a glimpse of Zemo’s return, the villain made famous in Captain America: Civil War.

WandaVision’s footage showed scenes of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany’s Vision interacting with each other in a house.

Loki briefly teased actor Tom Hiddleston back in the role.

 

Fast 9 Trailer

 
During The Road to F9 trailer drop and concert event, Universal Pictures released the first trailer for Fast & Furious 9, bringing back a few familiar franchise faces (and some new ones).

The film will feature the return of Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pierce, Ludacris as Tej Parker, Enrique Guzman as Simon Toretto, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw and Charlize Theron as Cipher. John Cena, Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, Vinnie Bennett, and Michael Rooker have also been cast for the latest installment.  And Sung Kang returns as the previously dead Han Lue.
