Writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Brad Walker have really been creating the best Batman title on the stands right now.
This is everything a good Batman book should be: exciting, suspenseful, and full of drama. I love what they are doing and it is a good read, month in and month out. This issue is pretty great as well.
The issue starts off below Gotham City. The Joker is doing a little bit of exploring. He finds some tombs underneath there.
What are these tombs and what does it mean? I have no idea but it sure was an intriguing beginning.
The Joker starts breaking in and then going through one of the tombs. This part plays a role later on in the issue.
From there we head back into the Two-Face story. We start to see that Batman will need Harvey Dent’s help in stopping the Joker’s latest scheme.
The thing is, Batman actually needs the Harvey part of Two-Face.
So a plan forms to get Harvey cured of Two-Face. That way Batman can team up with Harvey to take the Joker down. Needless to say, things don’t go as planned.
And it is completely awesome.
The writing is really great and pointed. Artist Brad Walker may be the best Batman artist since Greg Capullo. He is seriously talented and does a great job here as usual.
This is another fine issue of this creative team’s run. Well done.
