This book has been a blast so far and this issue continues that trend.
Writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo keep the action and fun coming at a fast and furious pace. There are so many concepts and ideas presented here that I had to read it twice to wrap my head around it all. I didn’t mind in the least.
The entire Multiverse has gone completely metal by the beginning of this book.
Mass destruction is everywhere!
Basically, Woman Woman and her team of rebels have to go up against the ParaRobins of New Apokolips. They have to do so to rescue a team member that is a prisoner there.
That prisoner is Superman. That’s right, Kal-El, himself.
Wonder Woman and her team fight like hell to free Superman. It is a huge battle that has a ton of heroes in it. It was especially good to see Lobo there. Superman is freed and he joins in on the struggle.
The battle ends. Wonder Woman takes her team and regroups. She has a meeting with everyone and forms a plan. That is when we get a surprise ending.
It looks as though the biggest villain of them all will be a part of this story: Lex Luthor. I am very excited about that.
But what version of Lex will this be?
The last image leads us to believe this will be unlike any version that we have seen before. I can’t wait to find out what is going to happen.
Snyder and Capullo have done it again with this issue and this is really spectacular stuff.
