Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves Trailer Released
HBO Max has unveiled the first trailer and premiere date for the sci-fi series Raised by Wolves from executive producer Ridley Scott (Alien: Covenant).
Raised by Wolves centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.
The cast includes Amanda Collin (A Conspiracy of Faith, A Horrible Woman), Abubakar Salim (Fortitude, Jamestown), Winta McGrath (Aloft, Red Dog: True Blue), Niamh Algar (The Virtues, Calm With Horses), Jordan Loughran (The Infiltrator, Emerald City), Matias Varela (Narcos, Point Break), Felix Jamieson (Game of Thrones, The Ghost), Ethan Hazzard (The Long Song, Damned), Aasiya Shah (Call the Midwife, Unforgotten), Ivy Wong (Star Wars: Rogue One, Maleficent 2) and Travis Fimmel (Vikings).
The series premiere will debut on September 3 on HBO Max.
Tom Hanks is in talks to re-team with director Robert Zemeckis for a fourth time with Disney’s upcoming live-action Pinocchio remake. Andrew Miano and Chris Weitz will produce through their company Depth of Field, with Weitz and Zemeckis penning the script.
Based on the 1940 animated classic, Pinocchio was based on the Italian writer Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio, which was published in 1883.
Netflix’s The Sleepover Trailer Has Spy Kids Vibes
Netflix has released the official trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 director Trish Sie’s family adventure-comedy film titled The Sleepover, featuring four kids trying to have a sleepover. However, a seemingly normal night quickly turns into an unforgettable adventure as they must try their best to rescue their parents from unknown kidnappers. Starring Malin Akerman and Joe Manganiello, the film will be available for streaming on Friday, August 21st.
Clancy and her kid brother Kevin discover that their seemingly normal stay-at-home mom Margot is actually a former high-end thief in the witness protection program. When both their mom and dad are kidnapped and forced to pull one last job with an ex-flame of Margot’s, the siblings must team up to rescue their parents over the course of one action-packed night that they’ll never forget.

Comedy Central has announced that they’ve officially given a series order to the upcoming adult-animated reboot of Nickelodeon’s classic 90s’ animated sitcom The Ren & Stimpy Show. This announcement comes 25 years after the iconic series aired its final episode in 1995.
“We are excited to reinvent this iconic franchise with a new creative team and our partners at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio,” President of ViacomCBS Entertainment & Youth Group. Chris McCarthy said in a statement. “Ren & Stimpy joins our rapidly expanding roster of adult animation including South Park, Beavis and Butt-Head and Clone High as we continue to reimagine our treasure chest of beloved IP for new generations.”
Nia DaCosta, who directed the upcoming Candyman remake, has reportedly landed the coveted job of helming Captain Marvel 2, with Brie Larson set to return as the title character.
DaCosta will take over for Anne Bowden and Ryan Fleck who directed the first film. WandaVision staff writer Megan McDonnell has written the screenplay.
The sequel will continue the adventures of Carol Danvers, an ex-U.S. Air Force fighter pilot who becomes involved in the war between two alien races, the Kree and shape-shifting Skrulls. Imbued with incredible power the result of surviving the explosion of an alien engine, Carol takes the identity of Captain Marvel becoming one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
