‘Teen Titans Go To Camp’ GN (review)

Written by Sholley Fisch
Art by Marcelo DiChiara
Published by DC Comics

Let me start off by saying that this isn’t something that I would normally pick up. This is mostly a book aimed for young kids. That being said, there are definitely some moments and story elements that will make this enjoyable for the intended audience.

The Teen Titans Go team is going off to summer camp! That sounds like a good time, right?

Except the summer camp that they are going to is Camp Apokolips!

That’s right, the Titans are headed towards a good (bad?) time at a place that is known to be deadly.

The first thing the team does is reflect on their past camp experiences.

We see that they are longer allowed to go to the Justice League camp. That is because Robin got them all kicked out. Apparently, he got too competitive there and ruined the experience for everyone.

We get to see that Robin is doing the same thing at Camp Apokolips.

He is trying to figure out how to beat the other bunks At various challenges. There is also a mystery at the heart of Camp Apokolips.

Originally appearing digitally in weekly chapters, collected the whole book feels slight.

The story feels like an episode of the cartoon except really stretched out. The art isn’t too bad but I don’t know how off brand the artist could have gone if he wanted to.

The whole thing was dull for me but kids might like it.

I definitely wasn’t the target audience for this.

RATING: B
