Bill and Ted have made their way back into the public eye, first with the new film sequel and now again with this new comic book.
Former series writer Evan Dorkin is back scripting the series and all is right in the world. This is a fun start to what could be an amusing little series.
This series take place somewhere between the events of Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey and the new Bill & Ted Face The Music films.
We start off in the future where there has been a disturbance in reality. Rufus has been ordered to investigate.
Needless to say, he has to involve Bill and Ted in helping him.
That is when we see Bill and Ted.
Much like the current movie, they are trying to write the song that will save the world. They are struggling with it. They can’t seem to get it right. We get to see that they are living with their “Robot Uses” and Station is their neighbor.
Bill and Ted do seem rather lost.
That is when Rufus shows us and drags them into the plot. It seems to follow the model of the franchise well. It also has a cliffhanger that is a lot of fun and really makes me want to read the rest of the series.
The story by Dorkin is great. He has a good handle on the characters and he does a great and classic job. The art is perfect for this as well. It fits like a glove.
All in all, this is a perfect first issue for a series we all need at the moment.
