The cult animated series, The Venture Bros., has been cancelled after seven seasons at Adult Swim.
In a post on Twitter this week, Christopher McCulloch aka Jackson Publick revealed the fate of the series, which he co-writes with Doc Hammer.
Unfortunately, it’s true: #VentureBros has been canceled. We got the highly disappointing news a few months ago, while we were writing what would have been season 8. We thank you, our amazing fans, for 17 years of your kind (and patient) attention. And, as always, We Love You.

The series, which began as a parody of Jonny Quest, focused on the bizarre escapades of pseudo-heroic scientist Dr. Rusty Venture, his competent, high-strung bodyguard Brock Samson, and his two overenthusiastic sons, Rusty and Dean.
Rumors abound that the series might wind up at HBO Max, but no formal announcement has been made.
Following in the footsteps of it’s source material, AMC’s The Walking Dead will call it quits at the end of it’s Eleventh Season in 2022.
At one time, one of television’s highest rated series, The Walking Dead peaked with the 2014 fifth season premiere with 17.3 million viewers. Since then, the series has had a large number of cast members depart including Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Michael Cudlitz, Emily Kinney, Chad Coleman, and Sonequa Martin-Green, which has turned off many viewers.
Plans for a spin-off featuring the only two remaining original cast members Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride in their roles as Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier has been given a series order to be overseen by The Walking Dead chief content officer Scott M. Gimple and showrunner Angela Kang.
Also announced was an anthology series, Tales of The Walking Dead currently in development.
Tales will be episodic and likely focus on both new and old individual characters from the Deadverse.
This series will join Fear the Walking Dead and the two-season limited series The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Also previously announced are a trilogy of films built around former series lead Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) currently in the works via Universal Pictures.
Also mentioned were the possibility of more spin-offs, though doubtful that either would focus on Maggie Rhee (Cohan) or Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
