This has been a wild ride reading this title thus far.
Grant Morrison has a way when writing a comic book that makes each story unmistakably his. This particular book is full of ideas. I have to say that it is one of my favorite takes on Green Lantern in quite a long time as well.
This issue basically is a great jumping on point of sorts. It recounts everything that has happened thus far in this book.
Hal Jordan wakes up to find himself in some weird afterlife of sorts. It gets even stranger. He finds out the Guardians are there with him as well!
The thing is, this is the Guardians when they were younger.
But they are the same old Guardians for sure. Hal immediately finds himself facing their judgement.
What else is new?
Hal tries to find a way out of this predicament as the Guardians get ready to remove him from the board.
Things start to look hopeless.
Hal finds out some information about the forthcoming Ultrawar here. It doesn’t look so promising for the forces of good. The secret of the Cosmic Grail is revealed here as well. Hal prepares himself to finish this journey, no matter what it takes.
Even if it means death.
This is a strong issue that really keys into the overall story of this comic. Morrison has done an amazing job with this. The art by Liam Sharp is tops as well.
I can wait to see how they end this book but I will be sad to see it go.
