Fat Jack’s Facebook Livestream Sale Airs Sunday October 11th Offering Comics, Original Art

On September 27th, one of the world’s oldest comic book specialty stores and Philadelphia’s first fully dedicated to the hobby, Fat Jack’s Comicraft, held an online sale on their Facebook page, offering dozens of comics including some key Silver Age and Bronze Age Marvel titles, a historic copy of Action Comics #8, and original art including the complete art of Reggie Hudland John Jr, and Klaus Janson’s Black Panther #1 & 2.

The sale was a success, and this Sunday, October 11th, the sale will return to Facebook Live from 5 PM – 7 PM EST, offering another fantastic selection of comics and collectibles.

Among the books available include nice run of Fantastic Four comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby from #19 through #100 and other Silver Age comics will be up for sale.
Also available will be a very nice copy of Brave and Bold #28 CGC 5.5 Graded Grade – the first appearance of the Justice League – and go back to the golden age with Captain Marvel Adventures #1 CGC 7.5 Graded and so much more!
And we have fantastic highly sought after premium original art starting with comic book royalty including a great piece of art, the cover to Comic Book Artist #20 by the legacy of John Romita Jr. and Sr. featuring some of their most signature characters – Spider-Man and Mary Jane, John Sr.’s signature look to these two icons whom John Jr. would draw more than half of his career, The Punisher who was designed and co-created by John Romita Sr. whom John Jr. later made his mark on, Daredevil, the first character that John Sr. drew crossing over with Spider-Man, whom John Jr. later had one of the greatest runs in history with Ann Nocenti and then with Frank Miller, and finally Iron Man, whom John Jr. had one of the most beloved runs in Tony Stark’s history! This cover is nearly 20 years old!
Batman #46 page 17 by Greg Capullo and Danny Miki featuring an early appearance of Duke Thomas, whom Greg co-created with Scott Snyder!
To some, this may be the gem of the show, Marvel Comics #1000 page by George Perez featuring the White Tiger! Some may remember that White Tiger was George’s first major character after inking Rich Buckler, in Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu. This is the last piece of new art George has created for Marvel, and may be his final interior page as George has retired. This is only airing once, and the consignor will be placing in his collection if it does not sell.
From Matt Wagner who shopped at our Center City store when he lived in Philadelphia, we’ll have a page of Trinity #2 page 51 by the master!
Also on sale, there is art from another elder statesman who continues to kill it with his skill – Moon Knight #5 page 28 by Bill Sienkiewicz! That’s right, from 1980!
Sticking with the ‘80’s, we’ll have incredible art from Batman #369 page 11 by Don Newton and Alfredo Alcala! One of the greatest and under-appreciated artists the industry has ever had whom we lost too soon.
And last but not least, a nice complement to John Romita’s CBA Cover with Daredevil, one of the other great creators synonymous with Daredevil – Gene Colan original art featuring Daredevil and Black Widow – so beautiful it’s wraparound cover-esque!
And for the more modern fans and collectors of limited editions, we will be showcasing items by Mark Brooks, Dan Jurgens, Frank Miller, Alex Ross original art, Gail Simone, Mark Waid, Joe Quesada, Adam Kubert, Benjamin Percy, Brian Michael Bendis and limited edition covers by Peach Momoko, CGC graded books of key issues and so much more.
Fans and collectors are invited to check out the presentation event, as they may just find the items needed to fill out their want list, or a perfect grail piece. Sold items will be shipped or available for pickup from retail locations. For any other questions or want list needs, contact the store directly.
