This book really has been very enjoyable. It is full of twists and turns that I never see coming. Writer Tom Taylor keeps the stories fast and fresh. I never know where we are going, but I always love where we end up. This a quality Suicide Squad series indeed.
The opening of this issue is truly insane. We get to see some of the Suicide Squad members carrying out Deadshot’s dead body out of the Kord Industries building.
They also have Ted Kord himself as a prisoner!
This was an exciting opening for sure!
The remaining squad members have to run for their lives against the enemies tracking them down. They also better hurry up or they are going to end up like Deadshot. This leads into some crazy events throughout the issue.
Honestly, this whole story feels like one big chase scene. And I am totally okay with that. There is a lot of fighting! There is a lot of character development. Man, it is just well done.
By the end of the book, I was out of breath and I could believe where we ended up. It is pretty great.
Tom Taylor is a really great writer. He makes some of the most exciting comic books out there. This one is no different. The art by Bruce Redondo is great too. They work so well together. I am sad that this is the penultimate issue of their run. This has been pretty great so far.
