This team up book has been a largely successful one thus far.

Writer Joshua Williamson has avoided some of the trappings that usually accompany these books. Instead, we are left with a book that values plot and characters and it does a very good job with both!

Williamson has finally done the unthinkable with this issue. He has brought back the Composite Batman/Superman!

Just when you think things haven’t been crazy enough in comics, he brings back this Silver Age staple into modern continuity.

Batman and Superman are trapped Brainiac’s moon base.

We get to see the two heroes trying to escape it as this tense issue begins.

It only gets crazier when the A.I. in charge of the joint tries to take over the two heroes and have an unholy merge with them.

That is exactly what it does, too!

The two heroes become a tool under Brainiac’s control! Is all hope lost?

Now, it is up to some of the other superheroes to stop this terrible amalgamation!

Can it be done? Or is the universe done?

The story here is just a blast from start to finish. It is just silly fun that is enjoyable. The art is suitable to the story and works quite well. I enjoyed this very much and I had a real good time throughout.

RATING: B+
