‘DCeased: Dead Planet #5’ (review)

Written by Tom Taylor
Art by Trevor Hairsine
Published by DC Comics

This has been a great follow up book to the first series.

Tom Taylor has taken the original idea and really has done some great writing here. The creative team has taken us to new places that we haven’t seen before. And they are still doing it! This is a great issue of this series.

This issue starts off at the Tower of Fate.

John Constantine and Doctor Fate have a conversation. They are trying to make a plan to make things better. They meet up with Etrigan, and then with Swamp Thing and Batman. Something big is about to go down.

There is an ominous feeling as this issue progresses.

Alliances are formed. We see the bigger picture starting to come into place.

Just when the heroes get themselves together, they find themselves in a middle of a huge battle. And it is awesome.

The battle is crazy!

We get to see the infected Superman take on the heroes! But there is a twist at the end that may in fact change the game. It is pretty unbelievable and it makes this issue one that is key for this series.

The story is pretty awesome and the art is pretty fantastic.

Things are only getting worse for out heroes by the end.

But things are certainly awesome if you are reading this book.

It is another fine issue in a damn fine comic book series.

RATING: A
