This latest issue by writer Peter J. Tomasi is absolutely stunning. Together with artist Bilquis Evely, he has done a great job of taking the Dark Knight and putting him into a situation that is wholly original. This is some great stuff and I am loving where the story ended up in this issue.

After the events of the last issue, we get to see Bruce Wayne in a new place.

At the start of the issue here, we get to see an old foe going around and causing some trouble.

That’s right. Hush is back.

But something strange happens here. Damian Wayne is antagonizing him.

That’s right. Robin has set his sights on Hush. It is something to do with the Black Casebook. We found out some of the details here and it is all pretty nuts. It all harkens back to the story from Detective Comics #1027 and I appreciate Tomasi for making  his story count from that issue.

It isn’t long before Batman gets involved in these proceedings. Things get crazy. There is a great fight in this issue. It also has one hell of an ending that proves why this is the best Batman title currently being published!

And it is.

The story is strong. And man, Bilquis Eveley is such a strong artistic talent. I love her work and every page is dynamic.

My only hope is that this creative team stays on for a nice, long run.
