This has been a great series featuring the Suicide Squad. I am sorry to see it end but at least it does so on a high note. There is a lot of action and suspense in this particular issue. I am just sorry that it is the final one of this particular series with this creative team.
The Suicide Squad have been put through hell these past few issues.
They had to change identities. They had Deadshot die! And now they are in another situation where their backs are against the wall. What are they going to do?
They are on an island. They have to fight against a human bomb and stop him.
Sounds simple, right?
Well, the island is full of innocent people who will die if the human bomb isn’t handled with care. This leads into one hell of a crazy action scene which was damn exciting.
And guess who else shows up in the issue?
The Justice League.
I love the way writer Tom Taylor handles the League here. This all leads to a very satisfying conclusion for the series as a whole. I did want more, but this was certainly well handled.
I am sad that this is all that is creative team got a chance to do! The writing has been great on this. The artwork by Redondo has been great.
I am sorry to see this series go as I have had a really wonderful time reading it.
