Benedict Cumberbatch Joins 12 Years A Slave
Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the growing ensemble for director Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave which includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt and Taran Killam. “Ejiofor plays the author, a free man kidnapped and sold into slavery.
Cumberbatch will play a plantation owner who buys Ejiofor’s character
and is won over by his engineering skills.”
Leprechaun Gets a Reboot
Lionsgate and WWE Films have hired Harris Wilkinson to write a remake of the 1993 film, Leprechaun with WWE wrestler Hornswaggle set to play the title role. The original film, which infamously launched the screen career of Jennifer Aniston, featured a truly ridiculous premise; “a horrific Leprechaun goes on a rampage after his precious bag of gold
coins is stolen. He uses all of his magical destructive powers to trick,
terrorize and kill anyone who is unlucky enough to hinder his
relentless search. In a frantic attempt to survive the wrath of the
Leprechaun, Tori and her friends scramble to find the only weapon known
to kill this Irish monster…a four-leaf clover.”
Anne Vyalitsyna Joins A Good Day To Die Hard
Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated model, Anne Vyalitsyna aka Anne V, will make her acting debut in the fifth film in the franchise, A Good Day To Die Hard, which stars Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney. “Willis reprises his role as John McClane in the Russia-set sequel, with
Courtney playing his estranged son Jack. Duo team to keep each other
alive and protect the world from imminent disaster.” Vyalitsyna would likely be portraying an attractive woman.
