This is a great little book. Dan Jurgens took this character and made each story strong and character driven. It’s just a fun ride issue after issue and I have been really enjoying it. It’s one of those books you can just dive into at the beginning of each storyline and expect a great story.
This issue starts off with Bruce Wayne in Arkham Asylum talking about the healing process for the prisoners. They talk about rehabilitation for the prisoners. And that’s when the lights go out and Mr. Wayne decides it is time to go.
I was unsure of why this scene existed at first but as the issue went on, it made sense.
We then see Terry and Matt having a discussion of how Matt is never going to be Robin again.
In fact, Terry just blatantly tells him it’s not going to happen again. Bruce comes home and then the three of them go down into the Batcave.
They are on the hunt for a tech thief that is wrecking havoc around Gotham. This leads them to the Powers Corporation. Terry agrees to dress up like Batman and off he goes on his investigation.
We get to see a really cool scene of Terry heading into the Powers Corporation. He then encounters a villain who’s powers are a little bit cool and also a little bit icky. The fight scene is fairly awesome and it does all lead to a nice last moment which sets up the next issue.
The story is fun although it did move a little too quickly for me. The art however is awesome. If you put Rick Leonardi on a book as the artist, I’m in no matter what. He’s quite excellent. The book is drawn amazingly and I’m happy he’s on this comic. A fun book indeed.
