Joshua Williamson’s work on this title has been completely great.
I have been enjoying this since the very beginning of his run and a lot of the seeds that he planted have been coming to fruition. I loved this issue and I am excited to see where we go from here.
The beginning of this issue has the Flash being attacked by the Black Flash. It is exhilarating and it kept me right at the edge of my seat.
Barry escapes from the Black Flash and tries to get himself together to stop him. Things just get crazier from this point on.
Barry starts looking for Hunter Zolomon as the Black Flash.
The Speed Force is dying and only Hunter seems to be the one who can save it. Barry tries to track him down. It is seemingly impossible. Barry’s powers are also fading. He has to do something and quick.
He eventually finds and follows a lead. That is when the two of them have a face off. It is a thrilling scene that is drawn by Scott Kolins. He is one of the best artists that the Flash has ever had and he really struts his stuff here. It is great.
Hunter wants to be the greatest Flash in the Multiverse. He really goes to extreme lengths to fulfill his goal. This all leads to a shocking last page that you have to see to believe. It made me jump out of my seat and really angry that it ended on a cliffhanger like this. But that’s okay. It was just so thrilling that I wanted more immediately and not to have to wait.
The story here is tops. The art is fantastic as well. I love reading this month in and month out. I am excited beyond belief as to where this is going. I can’t wait to see where the creative team takes us from this point on.
